IWIN: Exporting to the UK

Last week our MD, Dick Clerkin, had the pleasure of speaking at the Irish Wood and Interiors Network (IWIN: https://www.iwin.ie/) seminar held at the impressive Mullan Lighting (https://www.mullanlighting.com/en/) premises. With the theme of ‘Exporting to the UK’, Dick shared some valuable insights from his own experiences with clients on the challenges and opportunities of exporting to the UK market.

During his presentation at the IWIN seminar, Dick emphasised the importance of having a clear strategy when entering the UK market, as well as understanding the regulatory and compliance requirements. He drew on his experience of working with clients to highlight the importance of flexibility and adaptability when dealing with the ever-changing landscape of Brexit.

Dick also discussed the range of export support services available to Irish businesses from Enterprise Ireland and Local Enterprise Offices. These services include market research and advice, assistance with regulatory compliance, access to funding and finance, and assistance with networking and business development.

Dick and the team at Clerkin Consulting understands the challenges that businesses face when expanding into new markets. That is why we work closely with clients to develop tailored growth strategies that take into account their unique needs and circumstances.

The seminar provided an excellent platform for Dick to share his knowledge and expertise with other members of the wood and interiors sector. He was joined by other industry experts, including Joe Friel MBA, Crispin Satchell, Paul Farrell, Ronan Haslette, Mike Treanor, Deirdre Craven, Eilín Connolly, and Gareth Sherry, who contributed valuable insights on the export opportunities that exist in the UK market.
